Legally Questionable Content

This post was meant to be posted awhile ago, but I realized when I hit the ‘Publish’ button it didn’t work.

Prof: People in this state are a little bit crazy. I’m driving with my girlfriend to visit her parents and on the way there we hit a deer. Thankfully, everyone is there, and someone thankfully pulls over presumably to help us out, make sure everyone is ok, you know.

Concerned Samaritan: Hey, I see you hit a deer. I’m just curious, are you gonna keep it?

Prof: No questions, about helping us out with the car or if we are OK. Everything is about the deer. Of course, we have to refuse his request because we discover the deer is still alive. So we call the local police dept so he can bring someone down and put him down. When the policeman gets there and does his thing, he says

Cop: So, you don’t look like the hunting type; can I have the deer?

Prof: I mean really, is there some sort of law that says if you hit a deer as roadkill, you get to keep it?

Well law students?
